Hawaii Five-O is the codename for the elite unit of Hawaiian police, leader Steve McGarrett, and under him Danny "Danno" Williams, Duke Lukela, Chin Ho Kelly, Kono Kalakaua, and Ben Kokua. Set against the tropical backdrop, the Hawaii Five-O were tasked with fighting organized crime, international crime, and anything that the regular police couldn't handle. McGarrett is a tough Irish cop who never gives up, leading the crew to take on a variety of crime, often related to their nemesis Wo Fat, a Chinese intelligence agent and later crimelord, who always managed to slip through the Five-O's fingers. The show lasted 12 seasons and gave us the phrases "Five-O", "Book 'em Danno" as well as the classic theme song composed by Morton Stevens, which has been covered by The Ventures and is a marching band staple.MORE
