Harlem Heights

Harlem Heights is a reality show on BET about New York’s young, fabulous professionals living in Harlem, an area that attracts some of the most beautiful and successful of Black America. The eight cast members the show follows are forging ahead, working hard and partying harder, living glamorous lives as part of an elite group of Harlemites making the transition from post-college into full-fledged adulthood. The women of the cast are aspiring actress Ashlie, who came to New York for college and is determined to follow her dream, Briana, who has worked at being a fashion designer since she was six, Brooke, an employee of MTV who is trying to move past her media image as “Kanye West’s ex-girlfriend” and establish her own presence, and Bridget, the businesswoman with three jobs and working towards her law degree. The men are Christian, who is trying to be a black role model and set up a comfortable existence for his future family, Jason, the Harlem native who gets along with everyone and is focused on raising his daughter, Landon, an aspiring politician who dreams of changing the world, and Pierre, who is hustling to come up from nothing and show that others can believe in themselves to do the same. As these eight work at succeeding in life and love, they will find that persistence is the key to making it in New York and in Harlem. MORE
