Hannity

The show Hannity, formerly known as Hannity & Colmes, is an hour-long political commentary program that airs daily on the Fox News Channel. As to be inferred from the title of the show, Hannity is hosted by the shrewd political commentator, Sean Hannity, who has been with the Fox News Network for many years. Starting out as a talk radio host in 1989, Sean Hannity worked his way up the entertainment ladder, making career stops in California, Alabama, Georgia, and New York. It was in New York that Hannity’s partnership with Colmes and Fox News was born. The show Hannity & Colmes, was created as a political “point-counterpoint”-style television program, featuring Hannity as the conservative element and Colmes as the liberal element. Although the program was a successful venture for Fox News, Colmes elected to walk away from the show after 13 seasons, giving rise to the program Hannity. Though the factual accuracy of Hannity has been called into question on multiple occasions, the show continues to be a force in the political commentary arena and a strong performer among conservatives.
