Halfway Home was a comedy series the aired on Comedy Central in 2007 starring Jordan Black, Octavia Spencer, Oscar Nunez, Jessica Makinson, Regan Burns, and Kevin Ruf. The show revolved around five recently paroled criminals sharing the Crenshaw Halfway House in Los Angeles, California. Jordan Black plays a wannabe-gangsta named C-Bass (Jordan Black) who is actually from the wealthy California suburbs and was convicted for Internet fraud and identity theft. Octavia Spencer plays an ex-con named Serenity, whose name is the opposite of her personality. She actually has an extremely short fuse and violent personality, which explains why she was convicted for armed robbery. Eulogio (Oscar Nunez) is a manipulative male prostitute who comes from a family whose tradition of prostitution goes back generations. Carly (Jessica Makinson) is a drug trafficker who is having trouble shaking the habit, and Alan (Regan Burns) is the house’s resident arsonist who is lighting everyone's fuse.
