Gun X Sword is the FUNimation Japanese animated series that follows a man named Van who is out for justice and revenge. The series is produced by AIC A.S.T. A, directed by Goro Taniguchi, and written by Hideyuki Kurata. The story takes place on the Planet of Endless Illusion, a place where rogues of all kinds live. Van is a tall and lanky wanderer who silently travels the world searching to a man who killed his bride. The man with a clawed right hand took his love from him, and every time he is mentioned his quiet disposition shifts to extreme anger. Along his travels he is joined by many people, like Wendy who is looking for her missing brother, the mysterious mercenary Carmen 99, the pilot also after the claw man Ray Lundgren and more.
