Green Wing

Green Wing is a British sitcom that aired for two series on Channel 4. Dr. Caroline Todd (Tamsin Greig) is the newest addition to the unusual staff of East Hampton Hospital Trust. Caroline’s life is already a wreck, full of crises and indecision, but it’s about to get a whole lot more complicated. Dr. Guy Secretan (Stephen Mangan) and Dr. Mac Macartney (Julian Rhind-Tutt) are her two impossibly attractive coworkers. She has feelings for both, but can’t decide which one she really loves. It doesn’t help that Guy is a womanizer, and Mac is the local heartthrob. Caroline’s main competition for Mac’s heart is Sue White (Michelle Gomez), the hospital’s staff liaison. She’s supposed to listen and respond to the staff’s problems, but she’s pretty bad at her job. The show was created by Victoria Pile and produced by the team behind the popular sketch show “Smack the Pony.” Although Green Wing is entirely scripted, the actors are encouraged to punch-up their own material.
