Gourmet is a romantic comedy TV series developed by MBC that centers in the world of culinary arts, a surprisingly cutthroat and competitive world where chefs are pitted against the other in an attempt to come out on top. Sung Chan (Kim Rae Won) had little experience in the cooking world until that day he was adopted by the famous chef Mr. Oh (Choi Bool Am). After years of working by Mr. Oh's side, he becomes a strong chef with an enthusiasm and unconventional methods not quite smiled upon in the traditional world of Korean cooking. When Mr. Oh decides to leave his inheritance up to a cooking contest between Sung Chan and his other son, Bong Joo (Kwon Oh Joong), it puts enough pressure to split the family apart.
