Golgo 13: Collection 1 is the animated seriers based on the Japanese manga of the same name. The story follows Golgo 13, who also goes by the pseudonym Duke Togo. Togo is a professional assassin who works internationally, taking out targets for clients around the world, usually with his custom scoped M16. Golgo 13 has references to the death of Jesus Christ, with Golgotha being where Jesus was crucified, 13 being an unlucky number and also the number of people at the Last Supper, and his logo is a skeleton wearing a crown of thorns. Golgo 13 is a mystery to everyone, and nobody is certain of his origins or true identity. The internationally feared hitman remains shrouded in mystery, and his story was brought to an animated series in 2008, and the first collection shows some of his most memorable missions.
