Go Dragons! A Rugby Story, which aired as part of LOGO's Real Momentum documentary series, is the story of a predominantly gay rugby team from Chicago. Directed by Bill Richmond, this 46-minute documentary is split into four separate parts, detailing everything from the formation of the Chicago Dragons rugby team through the opening game of the first season. The diversity of the players is highlighted by delving into their personal lives with one-on-one interviews. Sexuality is of course a large part of the interviews, often times contrasting the softness of the men off the field with their intensity and rough nature on the field. As one of the only gay teams in the Midwest league, the Chicago Dragons feel as though they have to prove themselves, and in the eight documented practices before the first game, their improvement is palpable.
