Get a Life

The television show Get A Life aired from 1990 to 1992 on the FOX network. The show was co created by Chris Elliot and Adam Resnick and starred Elliot as Chris Peterson, a 30 year old paper boy who still lives with his parents, played by Elinor Donahue and his real life father Bob Elliott who are always depicted wearing pajamas and robes. The show is completely absurd (Elliot's character dies in twelve different episodes) and almost didn't air because the network executives at FOX thought the Chris Peterson character was too insane. The show featured the theme song "Stand" by R.E.M. and the writing talents of Bob Odenkirk (Mr. Show) and Charlie Kaufman (Being John Malkovich). MORE
