Generator Rex is an action animated series airing on Cartoon Network about a 15 year old named Rex with the power to grow machines out of his body. The story starts before the first episode, when an enormous explosion sent microscopic robots, nanites, into the atmosphere that attached with every living organism on the planet. The nanites randomly activate, turning the host into an E.V.O., or Exponentially Variegated Organism, and become a danger to everyone around them. Rex is special because he can control his nanites, which give him various powers and abilities including being able to withstand incredible impacts and curing some E.V.O.s. For this reason, he is recruited by Providence, a group formed to control rampaging E.V.O.s. around the world.
