Gene Simmons Family Jewels is an A&E reality television series following Gene Simmons, bassist and vocalist of KISS, and his family, longtime partner Shannon Tweed, and children Nick Simmons and Sophie Simmons. With a rockstar for a father and a former Playmate of the Year, actress, and model for a mother, their family trials and tribulations are anything but ordinary. While Gene and Shannon assure the outside world that their unmarried status is still a healthy, long and committed relationship, Nick and Sophie, 20 and 16, cope with the challenges of adolescence. Luckily for them, their dad is always supportive and a surprising family man for someone who gained notoriety for wearing a full face of makeup, leather outfits, and wagging his tongue as a theatrical musician.
