Gavin & Stacey is a British sitcom starring Mathew Horne and Joanna Page in the titular roles. The show revolves around the long-distance relationship of two young professionals. Gavin is 28 and lives with his parents in Essex. Stacey is 27 and lives with her family in Wales. The two meet over the phone through their jobs. In the first episode, they decide to meet in person. Their destination: London, halfway between their homes. Gavin brings his best friend, Smithy (James Corden) along for moral support, while Stacey brings her friend Nessa (Ruth Jones). The two are completely unhelpful, and really hate each other…until they’re drunk, that is. When Gavin and Stacey meet, it’s love at first sight…but it’s complicated. Corden and Jones also created and wrote the entire series, which consists of three series and a Christmas special.
