Gary Unmarried

Gary Unmarried is a sitcom on CBS about a recently divorced couple, Gary Brooks (Jay Mohr) and Allison Brooks (Paula Marshall), and follows them as they navigate their relationship for the sake of the children they share, as well as embark on new ones to move forward with their lives. Gary moves out of the house they shared and buys back his old place, trying to recapture the life of a bachelor as he re-enters the dating scene. As he adjusts to life alone, he also has to deal with Allison because of the two children that they share, Tom (Ryan Malgarini), 14, and Louise (Kathryn Newton), age 12, which isn’t always easy since their divorce was not on the best of terms. Tom and Louise go back and forth between their parents, both on the cusp of young adulthood, with Tom especially testing the limits of what he can get away with. Gary and Allison disagree with each other’s parenting style and often get into conflicts over the matter when they pick up the kids at each other’s houses. Eventually Gary starts dating a divorcee he can relate to and Allison gets engaged to their former marriage counselor. Despite their new romantic ventures, the two must find a balance in their own relationship for the sake of their children. MORE
