Galactica 1980 is the ABC sci-fi spin-off of the Battlestar Galactica series that follows the Galactica a generation after the original series, with leaders Commander Adama (Lorne Greene) and Colonel Boomer (Herb Jefferson, Jr.) bringing the fleet to Earth. They are disappointed to find that Earth isn't as scientifically advanced as they expected, and that it could not defend itself against the Cylons nor provide the Galactica with help. Adama's counselor Doctor Zee sends his grandson Captain Troy and Lieutenant Dillon to America to try to work incognito to advance Earth's technology so they can provide help so they can outwit the Cylons. They team up with reporter Jamie Hamilton to develop technology like cloaking shields and flying motorcycles. When they send a group of children to integrate with the population, they discover that in Earths environment, they have nearly super-human powers.
