Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid is an animated action romance TV series developed by Gonzo based on the light novels of the same name by Shoji Gatoh that follows Sousuke Sagara, a seventeen-year-old member of a mercenary group called Mithril, as he utilizes his guerilla warfare knowledge of explosives, anti-armor combat, and mechanical skills in a world where the Cold War has never ended. When the Western-leaning, a.k.a. more democratic, Mithril discovers that the Communist secret group Amalgam has gained technology to fight against the high-tech camouflage as well as a number of advanced weaponry, the crew of the TDD-1 Tuatha De Danaan submarine is out to stop Amalgam from gaining more.
