The animated series was a short cartoon series that was loosely based off of the Friday film series (Friday and Next Friday). Originally airing on MTV2, the show was created by Ice-Cube and had a total of 8 episodes. Each episode brought back all the popular characters from the films, including Smokey, but the characters are not voiced by the original stars. Episodes include, 'Hardly Working,' in which the character Pops kicks Craig (Ice-Cube) out of the house until he finds himself a job. Unable to do so, Craig ends up sleeping on the streets of Southern California and winds up being accused and arrested for the kidnapping of a white girl. Another popular episode, 'Notorious T.R.E.E.,' is about a tree in the neighborhood that has a wood knot that resembles the face of deceased rapper, Biggie Smalls. The knot attracts the attention of the entire neighborhood and brings P. Diddy for a visit all the way from New York City. The show originally aired in 2007 and can now be watched again on MTV.MORE
