Football Wives is the VH1 reality series spin off of Basketball Wives, that takes the drama of being a professional athlete's wife from the hardwood to the gridiron. VH1 had a hit with 2010's Basketball Wives, which followed the lives of Shaunie O'Neal, Royce Reed, Evelyn Lozada, Jennifer Williams, Gloria Govan, Ashley Walker, Tami Roman, and Suzie Ketcham. The show gave a look into the glamorous life of the significant others of sports stars, and the significant drama that comes along with it. Now they are taking to the field, where the husbands are beat up on a regular basis, getting injured and coming home to a wife who has to be a nurse as well as a companion. We join the cast in the football hotbed of Dallas, Texas; Chanita Foster, married to George foster; Brittany Pigrenet, who is dating David Buehler; Dawn Neufeld, wife of Ryan Neufeld; Melani Ismail, who is married to retired receiver Rocket Ismail; Erin McBriar, wife of Cowboys punter Mat McBriar; Pilar Sanders, wife of all-pro Deion Sanders; Amanda Davis, married to Leonard Davis; and Mercedes Nelson. Some are the wives of star players with huge contracts, and some are with those fighting to stay in the league and pay their bills, in a league that isn't physically friendly to the players.
