Fonejacker

Fonejacker is a British television program that features various fictional characters making prank calls on unsuspecting targets. Starring Iranian actor Kayvan Novak as the prank caller and voice of the multitude of personas, Fonejacker has become a phenomenal television hit, even taking home the 2008 BAFTA for "Best Comedy Programme." For each episode, Novak dons a ski mask and dials up his target's number with the hope of aggravating or upsetting his victim with a comedic goal in mind. In order to spice up the episodes, the phone conversation audio is mixed together with pictures of people whose mouths are edited to move up and down so that the audience is given a visual target to latch onto. In some cases, Fonejacker even acts out some of the prank calls that had taken place. Combining improvisational comedy with shock value, Fonejacker has a formula that works extremely well and delivers the laughs. MORE
