Flash Gordon

Flash Gordon is a 2007 reimagining of the popular 1930's comic strip and movie serial by the Sci-Fi Channel. It shows the adventures of Flash Gordon (Eric Johnson), a young American man who lives at home with his mother. His scientist father was lost in an accident when he was thirteen, slipping into a rift in space without a trace. When a mysterious portal appears allowing travel from Earth to the alien world of Mongo, Flash is swept away into the journey of his life. Along with him is his ex-girlfriend, Dale Arden (Gina Holden), and his father's old lab assistant Hand Zarkov (Jody Racicot). Conflict comes in the form of machinations set in place by the evil dictator of Mongo, Ming (John Ralston.) The series ran for a total of 21 forty-four minute episodes. Any fan of the original Flash Gordon or science fiction will find something to like about Flash Gordon. MORE
