Falling Skies

Falling Skies is the TNT sci-fi series created by Robert Rodat and Steven Spielberg. In May 2009, TNT announced that they were planning a pilot of an untitled alien invasion science fiction series, and it was later revealed that Robert and Spielberg were behind it Rober Rodat is known for his Oscar-nominated script for Saving Private Ryan, and he has also wrote scripts for films like Fly Away Home and The Patriot. Steven Spielberg is working as executive producer, an acclaimed director and producer who is responsible for a long line of classic films like Jaws, E.T., Jurassic Park and more hits which set box-office records and captured audiences worldwide. Now the two come together to tell the story of Falling Skies, a world where an alien attack has left most of Earth incapacitated. Six months after the first invasion, survivors have banded together to try to fight back. These citizen soldiers must try to protect their own, while organizing an insurgency against the occupying aliens. We join Boston history professor Tom Mason (Noah Wyle) who lost his wife in the attack, and one of his sons has been captured. Tom is on a mission to get his son back and protect his two other children, using his knowledge of military history to serve as a leader for 2nd Mass, a resistance movement against the invaders.
