Fallen is a fantasy TV miniseries developed by ABC Family based on the novel series The Fallen by Tim Huddleston that centers on Aaron Corbett (Paul Wesley), a popular and relatively normal eighteen-year-old, who is told that he’s a Nephilim, a child of a human and an angel. The revelation wouldn’t have been as hard to deal with if the Powers, a set of warrior angels, weren’t out to rid the world of the abominations in the form of the Nephilim kind. It seems the Powers are out to destroy the Nephilim to stop a prophecy, in which a half-breed brings about the return of all the fallen angels into Heaven, from ever coming true. As he travels about with his dog Gabriel, he meets other Nephilim and fallen angels, including the healing Ariel (Ivana Milicevic), former prisoner Azazel (Hal Ozsan), demanding Camael (Rick Worthy) and eccentric Ezekiel (Tom Skerritt), while facing the Powers’ leader, Mazarin (Will Yun Lee).
