Faces of a Vanishing World

Faces of a Vanishing World is the Ovation TV show that follows 19 year old photographer Joey Lawrence as he pursues his passion of capturing images of forgotten tribes. Joey is one of the worlds most sought-after photographers for music and entertainment clients. Having shot for clients like Jonas Brothers, rapper 50 cent, and the hugely popular Twilight movie posters at such a young age has rocketed Joey to the top of the photo industry where most of his peers are much older. Used to a fast-paced life in New York City, Joey has an unexpected passion project. He has been doing a personal project of creating portraits of ancient tribes who are on the verge of extinction. Traveling to remote locations and lugging along his camera and lighting gear, Joey takes beautiful photos of people who have never seen a camera. He has met holy men, tribal warriors, cannibals, and women and children in tribes who are untouched from the modern world. Now he is making the journey to return to give them their own exhibition of the photos he took. The new experience of seeing themselves in a photograph is unpredictable with the tribes, and Joey does not know how they will react.
