Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is the ABC show hosted by Ty Pennington, where Ty and his crew including Paige Hemmis and Ed Sanders, take on some extreme home renovations for deserving families. A spin-off of Extreme Makeover, which helped give personal makeovers, Home Edition makes extreme improvements to houses. The team visits families that have faced hardships, from natural disasters to foreclosure and family illness, and surprises them with the news that their home has been chosen to receive a makeover. Ty leads the team in renovating the interior, exterior, and landscaping of the house, while the family is on a week's vacation. With help from sponsors and neighbors, the team rushes to finish the huge renovations before the family returns. When the family gets back from their relaxing vacation, the whole town gathers for the final emotional reveal, as the family sees their amazing new house.
