Expedition Wild

Expedition Wild is a reality television documentary produced by the National Geographic Channel (NatGeo) that follows naturalist Casey Anderson as he ventures into the Alaskan wilderness to study grizzly bears. To follow along on his journey, Casey is accompanied by an eight hundred-pound grizzly and bear best friend, Brutus. Brutus was raised in captivity and formed an instant bond with Casey. Brutus the grizzly bear and his 25,000 a day calorie intake enjoys treats such as raw chickens or carrot cake. Now Casey must introduce Brutus to the Alaskan Wilderness so that he can learn how some wild grizzly bears eat, sleep, hunt, and have fun. Casey will observe Brutus' grizzly cousins salmon fishing and presents Brutus with a fresh flopping fish, causing Brutus to become confused and uninterested. Casey hopes that he can successfully alleviate his confusion by giving Brutus a first hand experience of what it means to truly grow up in the wild. It is truly shocking to see how Casey can interact as closely as he does with such a massive animal without get his face ripped off.
