Eureka is a science fiction TV series created by the SyFy channel Eureka is a what-if series that asks the question of what if the United States had created a secret town in the middle of the backwoods that housed all geniuses as they work devotedly and obsessively to making the next big discovery in science and technology for Global Dynamics. The series follows average man Jack Carter, a former U.S. Marshal, as he takes on the position of Sheriff and deals with all the potential disasters that comes from having a town act as a research facility. Instead of handling criminals, Carter is facing experiments gone wrong, such as character altering pollen, an invisibility ray, an artificial sun, and a bit too cheery robot out to take his job. At least, he gets to live in an old army bunker run by S.A.R.A.H., an artificial intelligence that seemingly is perfect in every way, though it does have a few moments of pouting. He handles the over-his-head science, a trigger-happy deputy, a genius but trouble making daughter, and all the other eccentric inhabitants with a quick wit and street-smart practicality that usually can stop the town from exploding.
