Eureka Seven is a Japanese-style animation ("anime") series that has aired on Adult Swim. The series is made up of 50 episodes in total, first airing from April 2005 to April 2006 on the Mainichi Broadcasting System and Tokyo Broadcasting System networks. A majority of the episodes are named after real songs. The show follows Renton Thurston, a 14-year-old boy, who wants nothing more than to leave his sleepy town and hoverboard ("lift") along side his idol, Holland, and his rebel group Gekkostate. His chance of a lifetime presents itself when a large mecha (humanoid robot) lands in his house, along with its pilot Eureka. Through a series of events, Renton is invited to join Gekkostate. Renton, Eureka, and the Gekkostate embark on an life changing adventure to save the world and themselves.
