Eastwick

Eastwick is a dramatic television series on ABC based on the John Updike novel The Witches of Eastwick, and the film of the same name. Three strangers, Roxanne "Roxie" Torcoletti (Rebecca Romijn), Joanna Frankel (Lindsay Price), and Kat Gardener (Jamie Ray Newman) meet at a wishing fountain and make three different wishes that end up interlinking. Little do they know that their wishes will bring trouble to the town of Eastwick, along with a mysterious man named Daryl Van Horne, who befriends the women and teaches them how to use their supernatural powers. Roxanne is a widowed mother who is suspected by town residents of killing her husband, she has premonitions but can't change the future, and has the gift of vocal persuasion, but has trouble controlling it. Joanna is a reporter with the gifts of hypnotism on men and telekinesis, and Kat is a mother of five with an alcoholic husband whom she eventually leaves, and she is able to control Mother Nature as well as having the power to heal. As the women refine their skills, they arouse suspicion within the town, where the citizens are unaware of how many times they've been saved by Roxie, Joanna, and Kat. Particularly when more magical people from Daryl's past arrive, Eastwick needs the women more than ever, if they could only see that they are trying to help and not hurt the town. MORE
