East of Eden

East of Eden is a romantic action TV series developed by MBC that centers on what happens to two young men when a single mishap changes their lives forever. Shin Tae Hwan (Jo Min Ki) was an ambitious man with little care to anyone else in his rise to the top within the world of coal mining in Taebaek ' including the life of Lee Gi Chul (Lee Jong Won), a fellow miner whom Tae Hwan found to be in his way. Karma though has a way of coming back to Tae Hwan as Gi Chul's oldest son Dong Chul (Song Seung Hun) has set out on revenge after witnessing his father's murder and ultimately ending up in juvenile prison. He brings in the help of his younger brother Dong Wook (Yun Jung Hoon), who hopes of becoming a prosecutor in order to take on the Shin family, including Tae Hwan's son Myung Hun (Park Hae Jin). For Myung Hun, he has lived a rather pampered life, shielded by his mother while pushed by his father to become a rather vicious businessman. As Dong Chul becomes the right hand man of a casino mogul and a notorious member of the Asian mafia, the two families begin to interweave through romantic entanglements, dramas, and a secret that has been kept secret since the day of both Dong Wook and Myung Hun's birth in the very same hospital.
