Dynasty

Dynasty is the classic 1980's ABC soap opera that follows oil magnate Blake Carrington (John Forsythe) and his new wife and former secretary Krystle Jennings (Linda Evans). Krystle isn't welcomed into the Carrington household, Blake's daughter Fallon (Pamela Sue Martin) resents her, and her only ally is Steven (Al Corley), her stepson who disagrees with Blake's political views and resists his future role as leader of the Carrington empire. It is revealed that Blake does not support Steven's homosexual lifestyle, putting them at odds. There is also the Blaisdel family, with the geologist Matthew (Bo Hopkins) being an old flame of Krystle's, and now married to the emotional Claudia (Pamela Bellwood). When Matthew goes into the oil business, the men become business and romantic rivals. When Blake goes on trial for murdering Steven's former lover Ted, and his ex-wife Alexis Carrington (Joan Collins) comes back into their lives, the drama takes off.
