The Dukes of Hazzard is an American television series that originally aired on CBS from 1979 to 1985. The hit television series revolved around Bo Duke (John Schneider) and Luke Duke (Tom Wopat), two country cousins living in Hazzard County in the Deep South. A corrupt local politician, Jefferson Davis Hogg (Sorrell Booke) has it in for the cousins, as well as their moonshine-brewing Uncle Jesse (Denver Pyle) and sexy, well-endowed cousin Daisy (Catherine Bach). When Hogg, along with the corrupt local police force, make trouble for the Dukes-which occurs on just about a weekly basis-Bo and Luke take the law into their own hands, with the help of the General Lee, their souped-up 1969 Dodge Charger. The fairly recent movie, based off of the series and starring Jessica Simpson as Daisy Duke, brought renewed interest to the series, with its catchy theme song and super-short jeans shorts.MORE
