Dinner for Five is a reality television series created by Jon Favreau, a well known actor, writer, and director. In each episode, Jon invites four other filmmakers and on screen personalities to join him for a meal in a real restaurant. The interviews are not scripted and Jon does not do any research before the episode's taping. The conversations at the dinner are completely real. During shooting, the cameramen were even required to stand at least 10 feet away from the diners so that everyone was comfortable enough to act as if they were not being recorded. Jon developed Dinner for Five so that audiences can have the chance to see these celebrities as the real people that they are inside. Topics usually revolve around film making but guests are encouraged to share anecdotal stories from their lives, as well. Guests have been numerous, and include such names as Denis Leary, Joey Lauren Adams, Ray Romano, Dax Shepard, Jeffrey Tambor, Neve Campbell, and Zooey Deschanel. Although Dinner for Five was canceled in 2005, many fans were able to get a sneak peak into their favorite celebrities' lives by tuning in to this IFC hit series.MORE
