Diff'rent Strokes

Diff'rent Strokes is the classic TV show that brought us Arnold (Gary Coleman) and Willis Jackson (Todd Bridges, two orphans who are adopted by Phillip Drummond (Conrad Bain) and his daughter Kimberly (Dana Plato). When Arnold and Willis leave Harlem to live with rich Park Avenue businessman Phillip, the employer of their mother who had just passed away. The two have to adjust to their new life living with the rich widower in his penthouse with his daughter and maid. The brothers go from rags to riches, and Mr. Drummond embraces them, even introducing them as his own sons. The plots revolved around stories of growing up, from the typical hurdles to some serious themes like racism, child molesters, and drug abuse. The show became legendary, with Gary Coleman coining the classic TV quote "What'chu talkin' 'bout, Willis?".
