Deserving Design is an HGTV home improvement series hosted by interior design extraordinaire Vern Yip and featuring exciting home renovations given to families who need them most. In each episode, Vern visits a family somewhere in the United States who could use a helping hand. In one episode, he visits a family displaced by Hurricane Katrina. In another, he visits an Iraq war veteran who has recently returned home. Wherever his travels take him, Vern offers his acclaimed eye for detail to the families and helps them redesign one room in their home. Then, at the end of the episode, he reveals a surprise renovation he completed on a different room without the family's knowledge, often offering them additional surprise gifts as well. Vern Yip formerly appeared on TLC's Trading Spaces as a designer, but his passion for charity led him to creating this heart-warming series.
