Deep Sea Detectives is an investigative documentary series that captures a bit of history. The series is hosted by John Chatteron and Richie Kohler, who plunge to great depths to explore the how and why of various shipwrecks. They are accompanied by other deep-sea divers and expert underwater cameramen, who stay underwater for an extended time. The team films footage of these deep wrecks using high-definition cameras. The footage presents an underwater exploration of the wrecks and also includes interviews and speculations about the accidents or storms that cause the disasters. Deep Sea Detectives provides an extraordinary underwater experience, coupled with possible answers to such maritime wrecks as the Ehime Maru, a Japanese fishing trawler carrying high school students on a research trip which sunk in the Pacific.
