Deadliest Warrior

In Spike TV's Deadliest Warrior, modern science and technology is used to evaluate two great combat experts from human history-say, a ninja and a Spartan-and decide once and for all who would come out on top in a battle to the death. For each match, the strengths of each warrior are listed and accounted for. Weapons, tactics, armor, and training are all considered in deciding who'd have the upper hand in a fight. Modern day experts are brought in to demonstrate techniques each warrior would have used in combat. Then, delicate sensors and slow-motion photography are used to calculate and show in gruesome detail the effects of the deadly attacks. The winner is decided when the show's hosts weigh in on the data gathered, and a live-action recreation of the battle is presented to reveal who wins the title Deadliest Warrior. Episodes have pitted deadly Zulu king Shaka Zulu against the famous Scottish freedom-fighter William Wallace, Attila the Hun against Alexander the Great, as well as simulating a showdown between two historic crime organizations-the Italian Mafia and the Japanese Yakuza.
