DC Cupcakes is a reality show on TLC that follows the baking career of sisters Sophie LaMontagne and Katherine Kallinis. The two sisters own and manage their bakery in Washington DC and premiered the reality show on July 16th, 2010, with an astonishing 1.1 million viewers. In this reality show, they not only have to deal with running a cupcake bakery, but also with the out-of-this-world cupcake orders they get. They fill their outlandish cupcake orders with the help of Sophie's husband who builds the structure to hold the weight of the heavy cupcakes. The sister's mother, Mommy (as she's called on the show by all employees) also helps with some of the customer service of the bakery. DC Cupcakes not only show cases the wonderful cupcakes the two sisters can make, but the beautiful artwork they can make out of them in a short amount of time.
