Dating In The Dark

Dating in the Dark is the ABC reality TV show based on the Dutch dating show Daten In het Donker, where contestants must date and pick their match without seeing them. Three men and three women looking for love are moved into a house where they are kept away from the opposite sex. They are totally sequestered from the opposite sex, and only have the chance to interact in a completely dark room where they go on dates. All six contestants go on a group date, getting to know each other's voices and personalities. They can then choose to go on one-on-one dates with the contestants they would like to learn more about. Their only communication outside of the dark room is through messaging on their computers. After going on these dark dates, as well as having a chance to see items from the contestants luggage, the contestants select one member of the opposite sex that they want to see in the light.
