Dark Blue is an action series from TNT and producer Jerry Bruckheimer (CSI, Cold Case). Created by Danny Cannon and developed by Doug Jung, the show stars Dylan McDermott as undercover LAPD officer Carter Shaw. Shaw heads up a detail that includes the newlywed cop Ty Curtis (Omari Hardwick), mysterious officer Dean Bendis (Logan Marshall-Green), and patrolwoman Jaimie Allen (Nicki Aycox). Jonathan Littman, Danny Cannon, and Doug Jung produce alongside Bruckheimer. Warner Horizon Television is the production company behind Dark Blue. Season one premiered in July of 2009, and ran for a total of ten episodes. Actress Tricia Helfer announced on her website that she has joined the cast as FBI Special Agent Alex Rice for the upcoming second season, which is slated to begin August 4th, 2010.
