Dante's Cove, an American gay oriented soap opera, airs on the here! network. Combining horror and soap opera elements, Dante's Cove is the story of Kevin (Gregory Michael) and Toby (Charlie David), in their perpetually rocky relationship due in part to dark forces that are trying to separate them. Much of the series delves into the mysticism of fictional religion "Tresum." The main characters reside in a small coastal Southern California town in an apartment complex called the Hotel Dante. As practitioners of Tresum, the dark forces of the religion regularly stir up drama for the protagonists. Dante's Cove premiered in 2005 and aired for three seasons. The mix of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and heterosexual characters were played by William Gregory Lee, Tracy Scoggins, Nadine Heimann, Jon Fleming, Michelle Wolff, Gabriel Romero, and Thea Gill. Many of the reviewers of Dante's Cove found the show to be campy and over-the-top, appealing mostly to a gay male audience.MORE
