Courage The Cowardly Dog

Courage the Cowardly Dog is an animated kid’s comedy series on the Cartoon Network. Courage (Marty Grabstein), an anthropomorphized pink dog with a big heart but lots of anxiety issues, has to defend his old owners, a grumpy farmer called Eustace Bagge (Lionel G. Wilson) and his wife, Muriel Bagge (Thea White), from paranormal threats on a regular basis. The series started as a short titled The Chicken from Outer Space, but after that single segment received widespread critical acclaim, securing both an Emmy nomination and an Academy Award nomination, the film ballooned into a series with a run-time of three years. The twenty-two minute shows include more elements of horror than average kid’s programming, featuring monsters, curses, demons, aliens, and natural disasters, but viewers find themselves empathizing with the lovable pink dog and the show has become quite popular, despite its unconventional story lines.
