Conviction is a legal drama that originally aired on NBC in 2006 and was created by Dick Wolf who was also a writer and executive producer for the ÔLaw & Order' franchise. Reprising her role from ÔLaw & Order: Special Victims Unit' Alexandra Cabot (Stephanie March) returns to New York City after a stint in the Witness Protection Program to become the bureau chief. Cabot will supervise a group of talented, young Assistant District Attorneys who struggle with their immense case loads and even more complex personal dramas. Under the close tutelage of Cabot, these eager and determined Assistant District Attorney's will learn how to navigate the legal labyrinth and their intricate lives. Deputy District Attorney Jim Steele (Anson Mount) is a strong-willed young man with great conviction who has a biased adversarial position with Cabot and tends to be tough on his subordinates. Jessica Rossi (Milena Govich) is another fierce ADA who doesn't shy away from going over her bosses head to punish the criminals she prosecutes.
