CNN Presents is a documentary show that airs during the weekends on the CNN network. The show has been running since 2007 and has undergone some changes in format since its beginning. Originally, the purpose of the program was to summarize current events on a weekly basis, but as of recently, the writers of the show chose their topics more selectively, and only write about topics which have had a great impact on current events and world politics. Each episode runs 60 minutes in length and is hosted by Aaron Brown. The show is groundbreaking in its field, and has earned several awards, one of which is the International Documentary Association Best Documentary Series award. Episodes include the following topics: the war in Iraq; the AIDS crisis which plagues the slums of Kenya; Pope John Paul II; the fight against cancer, homicide in Rwanda; American presidents and politics, and many more.
