CMT Crossroads

CMT Crossroads is a live music series that has been on the air since 2002, bringing viewers exclusive duets featuring a prominent country musician as well as a popular musician from another genre, celebrating the common ground between their chosen musical styles and creating an all-new fusion sound. American country music lies at the roots of many popular genres, particularly rock and roll. This series brings together contemporary musicians from the country and rock traditions and gives them a chance to discuss their musical upbringings and styles as well as take the stage together for some riveting performances. CMT Crossroads began with a jaw-dropping collaboration between Lucinda Williams and Elvis Costello, as the two songwriting legends shared their thoughts on country music and played each other's songs.
