Chasing Mummies

Chasing Mummies is a reality television series on The History Channel. The show follows renown archaeologist and Egyptologist Dr. Zahi Hawass as he goes on archaeological digs across Egypt. A cameracrew and a team of young archaeologists follow Dr. Hawass through his adventures in Egyptian tombs and pyramids. The show also delves into the practice of being an archaeologist, as well as the pitfalls once comes across in trying to preserve artifacts and sites for future generations. Dr. Hawass is an internationally acclaimed archaeologist, having served as Egypt's Vince Minister of Culture and the Chief Inspector of the Giza Pyramid Plateau. Dr. Hawass team consists of Leslie Greif, executive producer of the show, Dr. Allan Morton, an archaeologist and fellowship coordinator, and David Cheetham, a consulting archaeologist who has done research in Guatemala, Belize, and Mexico. The show takes the team to such sites as the Great Pyramid, the Step Pyramid, the rumored Cleopatra's tomb, and the Sphinx. MORE
