Charlie's Angels

Charlie's Angels is a 1970s television series about three beautiful, intelligent, and sexy women who work for a private investigation agency- Kelly Garrett (Jaclyn Smith), Jill Munroe (Farrah Fawcett-Majors), and Sabrina Duncan (Kate Jackson). Initially, the three had graduated from the Los Angeles police academy only to be given tasks that didn't utilize their skills, like directing traffic. They quit and are hired at the Charles Townsend Agency, headed by Charlie, who is never seen, but assigns cases via telephone to the Angels and his liason, Bosley (David Doyle). In every episode, the Angels would be assigned a crime that had been committed to solve while undercover- usually a disguise involving skimpy clothing for Kelly and Jill. One is usually uncovered, leaving the other two to rescue their friend and stop the bad guys. Charlie congratulates the women after they are successful, still never being seen. Although the show featured women in roles typically reserved for men, it still played on sexuality for entertainment. In later seasons, the Angels changed, with Cheryl Ladd as Kris Munroe when Fawcett left the show, and Shelley Hack as Tiffany Welles when Jackson departed. MORE
