Caprica

Caprica is a prequel to the Battlestar Galactica TV series, where we follow two families in Caprica City; the Graystone family - Father Daniel, Mother Amanda, and daughter Zoe (Alessandra Torresani), and the Adama family. When a terrorist act takes the lives of Daniel's daughter and Joseph's daughter and wife, Daniel has trouble accepting the loss of Zoe. Daniel obtains a mega-cognitive processor invented by Tauran Tomas Vergis, which he uses to complete his prototype robot, which he calls a Cylon, or Cybernetic Lifeform Node. When he visits the holoband world where his daughter died, he finds Zoe and frees her from the holoband world by uploading her into his first Cylon prototype. When Amanda finds out about the secret life Zoe had, the world gets even more twisted. This sci-fi spinoff is 58 years before the events of BSG, and deals with the ethical issues creation of Cylons, and the Ethnic and religious issues of the colony. In one season the show has been a hit with BSG fans, with rich characters, strong acting, and the great soundtrack by Bear McCreary, and fans are hoping that SyFy stays on board for more Caprica. MORE
