Canterbury's Law

Canterbury’s Law is a drama that originally aired on FOX in 2008, it was created by Dave Erickson and executive produced by Denis Leary, Jim Serpico, Walon Green, John Kane and Mike Figgis who also directed the pilot episode. Elizabeth Canterbury (Julianna Margulies) is a tough-minded defense attorney whose career is on the rise but puts it on hold to take on risky and unpopular cases. Elizabeth and her law professor husband Matthew (Aidan Quinn) move to Providence, Rhode Island to try and rebuild their lives and relationship after the mysterious disappearance of their young son (Jeremy Zorek). As they settle in and try to distance themselves from their unfortunate tragedy, Elizabeth’s work serves as a constant reminder of the absence of justice that no only exists in her cases but in her personal life as well. In addition to her cases and home life, Elizabeth must also deal with her fellow coworkers. Russell Cross (Ben Shenkman) is a former district attorney that was forced out of his job, lends his knowledge to help Elizabeth through her cases whether she wants to hear his logic and reasoning. Chester Fields (Keith Robinson) is a congressman’s son that wants nothing more than to distance himself from his political family and obligations and Molly McConnell (Trieste Dunn) a determined woman who’s not afraid to go up against anyone, including Elizabeth.
