Caifornication is a television series from Showtime about Hank Moody (David Duchovny), a gifted author whose talents are as plentiful as his troubles. His relationship with ex-girlfriend Karen (Natascha McElhone) and their daughter Becca (Madeleine Martin) is the inspirations for trying to keep his life together, but his various addictions- sex, drugs, and alcohol- always seem to get in his way. Hank's job as a college professor is a perfect setting for his relentless but ill-advised womanizing.
