Cake is a live-action show-within-a-show sitcom on CBS. The show revolves around fashion- and arts-obsessed Cake (Christa B. Allen), a thirteen-year old girl who hosts "Cake TV," an arts-and-crafts show that is broadcast through public-access television and is filmed in Cake's garage. She hosts the show along with her best friends, Miracle Ross (Anna Maria Perez de Tagle) and Amy Carson (Emily Rose Everhard), who show each other, and their audience, how to make ordinary items into extraordinary things! Luckily for the three budding do-it-yourself gurus, Cake's garage is filled with leftover supplies from her grandmother's days as a fashion designer for rock stars. With some glitter, sequins, ribbons, and a hot glue gun, the three make DIY magic. Their different personalities, and their producer, Benjamin Turner (Keegan McFadden), who has a serious case of stage fright, make for an amusing show which viewers can enjoy for both its entertainment value and its instructional value.MORE
